Aajol - The Village Homestay: A Relaxing Weekend Escapade near Mumbai and Pune

A simple and calm place to unwind, Aajol is a place where you can't expect luxuries, yet there is something comforting about this place. It, as I would add, reminds you of your school vacations spent in tranquility of your grandparents home in some village(I would assume Konkan, given the Konkani style accommodation). Aajol as the name itself specifies is something of that standard. Aajol means stay with your grandparents - a stay which you always cherish in your memories. Do not expect luxurious treats and enjoyments! It is a simple place as the name suggests a Homestay, designed and constructed with two simple things in mind - tranquility and happiness.

What you experience at Aajol, is the part that you entirely miss in your day to day city lives and hectic schedules. Just one night of serenity, helps you de-stress and rejuvenate. The place is more like a village beauty yet to be destroyed, surviving with respect of all the odds. Being closer to Adlabs Imagica serves as an additional advantage, if you are planning something of a trip on similar terms. There are not many rooms, so it is advisable to book before visiting. Being located on a mid-hill level, the Aajol property offers a breathtaking view  of the surroundings. It is definitely worth visit during monsoons, given the lush greenery which it envelopes. Being located just next to the expressway, Aajol is easily accessible. The place is maintained well and promises good hospitality.

Common bathrooms are available too outside the cottages. Facilities include kid's play zone equipped with swings, a dining area, barbeccue, walking trail, housekeeping and car parking.
