Eco Parks in Dhanaulti



Eco Parks Dhanaulti is one of the main attractions for tourists. There are two eco parks, namely 'Amber' and 'Dhara'. Both eco parks are well maintained  and beautifully developed by the forest department. Both eco parks are roughly apart from each other by about 200 meters. The eco parks are protected part of the forest that includes small casual pathways and nature trails amidst the dense deodar and cedar forest. Apart from nature trails, these eco parks also house large areas for kids to play around, which make them a perfect place for families. Yoga practices also are carried out in this area usually in the mornings. The most beautiful sight to be witnessed at the Eco-parks is the sunset and the sunrise.

Surkanda Devi Temple in Dhanaulti



The Surkanda Devi Temple is one of the religious places in Dhanaulti frequented by tourists and pilgrims. It is located on one of the high mountain range at an altitude of 10000 feet. The temple of Surkanda Devi settles within the lap of nature amidst lush green forests and due to its altitude is always enveloped with fog. Potato Farm / Aloo Khet



Locally known as 'Aloo Khet', Potato Farm is a must visit when in Dhanaulti. This place is popular among tourists for its rustic environs and also because it offers a splendid view of the scenic surroundings including the Doon Valley. Horses can be hired to take the trip down the farm. It is also visited for the fascinating sunset and sunrise points. The farm is open all day for visitors and there is no entry fee.


Apple Orchard Resort



Apple Orchard Resort is a fine resort which is also a home to one of the authentic Garhwali restaurant called Glasshouse Restaurant which as the name suggests is made of glass and offers amazing view of the panoramic valleys and snowcapped mountains. Camp Thangdhar



The terrific campsite of Thangdhar is placed at an altitude of 8500 feet. Perched within the dense alpine forests, the campsite is located about 14 km from Dhanaulti. The trek to the campsite is worth every minute as the scenic view of the Himalayan Range that it holds is mesmerizing. There are many activities that are held here on Camp Thangdhar few of which include mountain climbing, biking, snow camping, snow walks, abseiling and trekking. The camp is open 24 hours and is ideal for solo, group as well as family camping. The entry fee for Camp Thangdhar is INR 1500 per person.
