About Ellora Caves (Verul Leni): 

Ellora Caves locally referred as the Verul Leni serve as an World Heritage Site, a prime tourist destination in Maharashtra. Founded during an excavation on the Sahyadri Range, Ellora Caves belong to 5th Century AD. Ellora Caves presently serve as the LargestMonolithic Excavation of the World. The Elanganga overflows through this caves during monsoons. The sculpotrs made within these cave are of multi-coarse grain like rock.



The rock cut Ellora Caves comprises of around 34 monasteries and temples that have been dug deep down in various parts of the mountain cliff. Around 5 Jain Caves, 17 Hindu Caves and 12 Buddhist caves are present within Ellora. Most of all each cave has lefta distinct impression of its own religion throughout the walls and architecture. Each and every sculptor at Ellora is majestic and gigantic....What one could say a true Masterpiece.
