About Bibi Ka Maqbara:

No plans of visiting Taj Mahal but wonder how it looks like..head on to Aurangabad where a replica of Taj Mahal exists! Constructed in 1651 by Mughal Prince Azam Shah in the memory of his mother Dilras Banu Begum, Bibi Ka Maqbara is a beautiful mausoleum that resembles the Taj Mahal. Though much smaller in size as compared to Taj Mahal, Bibi Ka Maqbara is known as the Mini Taj Mahal.

Dilras Banu Begum was the wife of Mogul Emperor Aurangzeb and the mausoleum was built in her memory by her son, referring to it as the Tomb of the Lady. The Bibi Ka Maqbara is located in Begumpura around 5 km from Aurangabad.

The tomb however is placed deep below the ground level surrounded by beautiful desgined marble. The mausoleum is held by four Minarets which have been carved resembling to the Taj Mahal minarets. The Nizam of Hyderabad has built a mosque to the west of Bibi Ka Maqbara.

The mausoleum has been constructed with finest marble called from Jaipur. The mausoleum is placed amidst scenic backgrounds within hill range, well maintained gardens, fountains and towering trees.
