Kashmir Tourism and trade is soon to flourish with the new addition to the Kashmir Valley - the launch of Kashmir Vistadome Train coming this March 2018. The Vistadome Train introduced by the Indian Railways is aimed to promote Indian tourism through railway. These Vistadome trains connect different tourist destinations together throughout the country. Not just these trains would offer comfort traveling to tourists but also an unique travelling experience of the picturesque Kashmir Valley.
Apart from a delightful traveling experience, authentic Kashmiri Wazwan cuisine would be served to the tourists for a wholesome lip-smacking experience. The Kashmir Vistadome Train that plans to ply from Delhi to Kashmir would allow the tourists to enjoy the beauty of Kashmir Valley from Baramulla to Banihal. The train would include few halt points including Sangdan, Monghall, Ratnipora, Naidgam and Razwan.
Some features of this 40-seater Kashmiri Vistadome Train include -
- All weather, transparent glass roof
- 360 degrees rotatable push-back seats
- Multi-tier luggage rack
- GPS-based information system
- LED lights and automatic sliding compartments.
Additionally the Special Observation lounges would enable a better view of the scenic beauty the train passes. The Kashmir Vistadome Train will ply 365 days a year thus promising the tourists to witness some spectacular sights throughout the year. Now with this train, a tourist can witness the exquisite beauty of Kashmir right from the lush green orchards to dense pine forest vegetation to snow capped valleys and mountains. Once the trains are launched, tourists would be provided with the 6 month booking facility in advance.
Presently Vistadome Train Coach has been introduced on the Dadar - Madgaon Jan Shatabdi Express for Mumbai-Goa Vistadome experience six days a week(except Wednesday) and three days a week during monsoon. Cost per seat for this Mumbai - Goa train ranges from INR 630 to INR 2250 till Madgaon depending upon the traveler's destination viz. Panvel, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Thivim or Madgaon. Additionally the Vistadome coach has also been introduced on the Visakhapatnam - Kirandul passenger train with a two way fare of INR 1130. The Vistadome coach booking can be done online through the Indian Railways Official Site.
